Development of new Plots
We have had a number of working parties during the early part of this year. The aim has been to improve the site at the southern, garage end by restoring the overgrown and unmanaged area back to plots that can be rented to new tenants over the coming years.
The actions taken by willing volunteers have included;
Clearing and levelling the area proposed for new allotments,
Tree removal,
Construction of new Communal Compost Bays along with areas for metal recycling and wood for burning.
Purchasing of new water butts.
Most of this work was undertaken during January through to March. The work will continue this autumn.
